Georgia GMIS Fall 2021 Conference

We invite you to attend the Georgia GMIS Rising from COVID 2021 Fall Conference at the Hyatt Regency Savannah!

The third cohort of the Certified Government Chief Information Officer program will conclude their coursework and receive certificates at the Tuesday night banquet.

Geek Trak is welcoming back trainer Dederick Scott. He will lead participants through Penetration Testing Techniques.

The Local Government Chief Information Officer program’s leadership curriculum will include an interactive session on Team and Group Dynamics as well as a session on Grant Writing. On Tuesday the technical focus will be on Coping with the Post-COVID Work Environment and Cybersecurity Event Prevention.

Georgia GMIS is pleased to once again offer The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Session on Monday afternoon.  You can also look forward to an Enrichment session on Wednesday morning titled Seeking Innovation which will look at how to utilize various types of innovation to benefit your organization and will result in creating a dashboard for tracking innovation projects.

Please note, CGCIO and Geek Trak courses will begin on Sunday.

Conference Registration

NEW in 2021: As of February 8, 2021, the Carl Vinson Institute of Government’s Cancellation & Refund Policy has changed to include a 10% administrative fee for registrations cancelled greater than 22 days before the conference start date. The full Cancellation & Refund Policy is included in the online registration portal and the attached mail-in form.  

 

There are two ways to register.

  1. Register online and pay with a credit card or
  2. Print the attached mail-in registration form and mail the completed form with your check to the address on the form.

Regular Conference Fee Will Run From September 13 ‐ October 8, 2021

** Anyone bringing a guest or spouse must request and pay for a banquet ticket prior to their arrival at the conference

A block of rooms will be held at the hotel until September 24, 2021, or until all rooms have been reserved, whichever comes first. After this date, the hotel will make reservations at the prevailing room rate based on availability.

PARKING

Parking at the Hyatt Regency Savannah is valet only. The fee is $30 per night.
