It gives me great pleasure to share about the upcoming GA GMIS Spring Conference to be held in Athens, Georgia from May 5th to 9th, 2024.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Ideapalooza: A Festival of Fun and Fresh Perspectives.” Can we innovate? Can we continue to encourage improvement within our organizations? We will atempt to make a carnival of ideas and innovation for the coming conference and want you to join in the festival.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Geek Trak will be presented by Gates Marshall from “Before the Breach”. Gates will be presenting a hands-on learning experience focused on implementing CIS best practices in a Windows environment using free and low-cost tools and techniques. Students will learn how to perform operational and architectural security controls from the CIS catalog, including labs so you don’t want to miss it.

I urge everyone to mark their calendars for these important dates and plan to atend the conference. Not only will it equip you with valuable insights and expertise, but it will also allow you to build lasting connections with fellow IT professionals from various local government agencies across the state.

  • Once you are logged in, select ‘Cert Trak’, Geek Trak’ or ‘LGCIO’. You can preview the session schedule for each track by clicking ‘Session selection information’ under each option.
