AWARD CATEGORIES

Best Practices

This competitive award recognizes the GMIS member agency whose exceptional IT project and/or IT policy is repeatable by other GMIS members so that the level of excellence can be elevated for all.

Outstanding Professional

This award is to recognize someone from your staff whose contributions and performance resulted in an exceptional level of operational excellence. There is someone you know who really deserves this award, and this is your opportunity to show them that you care about their contributions.

Georgia GMIS Spirit of GMIS

The Georgia GMIS Spirit of GMIS Award is to recognize a GMIS member who supports the growth and development of GMIS and/or recruits new members, thus helping to make GMIS a great organization.

Government to Citizens - G2C

Government in fulfilling its mission is expected to collaborate with and serve other entities. This competitive award recognizes the GMIS member agency whose IT project exhibits the best example of G2C (citizens) of the year.

Government to Business - G2B

Government in fulfilling its mission is expected to collaborate with and serve other entities. This competitive award recognizes the GMIS member agency whose IT project exhibits the best example of G2B (business) of the year.

Government to Government - G2G

Government in fulfilling its mission is expected to collaborate with and serve other entities. This competitive award recognizes the GMIS member agency whose IT project exhibits the best example of G2G (government) of the year.

 

AWARD NOMINATIONS

Awards will be presented to Government Technology Professionals and Agencies achieving technology excellence in the above categories. We invite you to submit your nomination of a deserving Government Technology Professional or Agency in one, or more, of the categories above.
The nominee must be a current member of Georgia GMIS. Nominators may submit multiple entries and each entry must be submitted separately. For consideration, the entry(s) must be received, at email address 2019GAGMISAWARDS@gmail.com , no later than April 1, 2019. An award winner or a representative must attend the Georgia GMIS Spring Conference to receive their award.

 

SELECTION PROCESS

A panel from Georgia GMIS' Board of Directors will judge the entries and select the award winners.

 

WINNER RECOGNITION

Award winners will be recognized at the Georgia GMIS 2019 Spring Conference. Winners will receive one complimentary conference registration and are expected to attend the conference to accept their Award. Winners will be featured on the Georgia GMIS web site and the Board of Directors will submit nominations to GMIS International for their corresponding award.
