The ITLP Program

The Georgia GMIS Information Technology Leadership Program is a joint certificate program between GA-GMIS and the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia. It is cosponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association and the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia.

The focus of the certificate program is a curriculum consisting of Leadership/Management skills training and technical skills training related to Information technology Management. It requires the completion of a written project demonstrating the application of learned skills.

The certificate requires the completion of nine six-hour courses equaling 54 contact hours; 36 hours of leadership, and 18 hours of technical training.
