Georgia GMIS - Fall 2017 Conference

On behalf of the Georgia GMIS Board of Directors, We invite you to attend the Georgia GMIS fall conference “Guardians of the Infrastructure”. Registration is now open! Please go to UGA’s website http://www.cviog.uga.edu/gmis to register.
Registration costs have remained $325 for LGCIO attendees and $425 for Geek Trak.
Our LGCIO (Local Government Chief Information Officer) and Certified Government Chief Information Officer™ (CGCIO™) Programs will be covering the core competencies of Government Business Processes and we have chosen the Strategic Planning as the topic on Monday. Tuesday, we will continue our focus on Cyber Security and as a tie-in to Monday, we will attempt to focus on Business Processes Polices, Practices, etc. that support or lead to a secure environment. We will include many different security focused talks and breakout sessions including some hands-on labs that will include live hacking. Once again, the (CGCIO™) courses will begin on Sunday.
Geek Trak, in collaboration with our Fall Premier Technical Training Partner Corus 360, will be Microsoft PowerShell Tools and Troubleshooting, MS WDS toolkit and MS DART. We are excited to be able to offer a class that has been requested in the last three business meetings. It will be limited to the first 20 paid registrations. Geek Trak will begin on Sunday afternoon, so you may want to reserve a room for Saturday night to ensure you don’t miss anything. We have lined up a dynamic instructor that brings an impressive collection of skills and knowledge so be ready to learn on!
Also, as a reminder, we have the 1st cohort of the Certified Government Chief Information Officer™ (CGCIO™) program that will be wrapping up its final session at this conference. The CGCIO program focuses on emerging technologies, information security, ethics, contract management, interpersonal communication, project and resource management, and sustainability, among other related topics. The CGCIO is offered by UGA and is a certification program created as a consortium with several universities. The cost is $3,600 per participant, which includes the next three GA GMIS conference registrations. The new cohort will start in Fall 2018, application will open this fall.
